Bela Cintra Apartment

A full renovation of a high-end apartment in the Jardins district of São Paulo, with three bedrooms and open social areas. Korner carried out the electrical, plumbing, masonry, ceilings, lighting and finishes, from the start of works to handover.

The bathrooms are clad in stone from floor to ceiling, including inside the showers, which called for levelling and waterproofing able to take large-format slabs on every plane. The counters are solid blocks with the basin carved into the piece itself: the stone cutting had to be settled together with the position of the water outlets, during detailed design.

Each bathroom received a full-wall mirror, niches recessed into the shower masonry and a dedicated electrical point for a heated towel rail. In the bedrooms, sockets, switching and reading points were set out from the furniture layout, defined before the walls were closed.

Lighting is recessed and linear, executed together with the plasterboard ceilings, which also carry the curtain tracks in a recessed channel, running wall to wall. In the social areas the floor is large-format porcelain tile, and the structural column was rounded and clad.
